Testimonials
Anyone considering engaging another person or organisation for services naturally wonders whether that person will meet or exceed expectations. Indeed, according to a global study conducted in February 2011 only 30% of clients have a favourable experience of consultants. So you are right to be cautious. And the best way to predict your likely experience is to verify the experience of others. So below are some comments from some of my past clients.
Additionally, there are numerous more recent testimonials on my Lindedin profile page, and feedback from participants at some of my workshops recorded at the MultiCOACH news page.
Steve Anson says:
Paul’s been coaching me and my business partner Bill for the past 2 years. It’s been great to have Paul speak objectively into our business problems and challenges. I have absolutely no doubt that we have made better business decisions as a result. As for quantifying the benefit, that’s impossible although Bill and I are absolutely assured that our investment of time and money with Paul has returned exceptional dividends.
I’d encourage every business owner to have a trusted business coach. Someone who you can speak openly with about your challenges. Someone with the maturity, breadth of experience and wisdom to add value to the conversation. And, following our positive experience, I have no hesitation in recommending Paul Curtis.
Eduardo Videla says:
Paul, you’ve probably heard this before; but the audiovisual and printed material you used throughout our training sessions was very good. These helped us easily learn new strategies and tactics to increase our sales and improve our appeal to potential buyers. Throughout the sessions your own input was timely and appropriate, focusing on our specific product, and the many different ways we could go in order to achieve our objectives more effectively. It has certainly turned out to be a rewarding experience. Already some of the marketing and sales concepts we learned have been successfully put into practice with our local and overseas customers. The results have more than recouped our investment in your services, with better things to come. I’d be happy to recommend your services to anyone who wants to develop their business ‘the smart way’.
Paul Derrick says:
Paul’s sessions have assisted us in setting priorities, goals, defining our clientele and focusing our products into specific prospect groups. The experience gained has been placed into practise and we are already seeing benefits from the sessions in better workflow and new clients. We would not hesitate in recommending Paul to anyone who wants their business to grow.
Earl Digby says:
I am writing this to express my thanks and appreciation for the part you have played in my employment. I found your style of recruitment both effective and refreshing, and would have no hesitation in recommending any potential client or candidate to utilise your services. This relates to your well-written and eye-catching advertisement, your effective interview technique, and your genuine style. I also write this letter from an interesting perspective, having worked a number of years as a Recruitment Consultant myself. I know from my own experience that a personal touch and a down to earth approach goes a long way towards learning the most about your candidates. I am sure that your clients would no doubt feel the same. Once again, thanks for everything. I feel that I have gained a business contact, a mentor, and a friend.
Rod Cridge says:
My experience to date after completing an initial 13 week sales and marketing training program for all staff members, including administration, is a resounding YES! Over the past months my staff are more highly motivated, are achieving new heights in performance, and the bottom line is moving in the right direction. When I first seriously considered Paul’s overtures to my company, my initial reaction was, “I know what I need to do. He’s not telling me something I don’t already know!” But then I reflected on where I was going, and I seemed to be in the proverbial ‘rut’. I thought about that old adage: “IF YOU ALWAYS DO WHAT YOU ALWAYS DID, YOU’LL ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU ALWAYS GOT!” It was time to try something else. I tried Paul and now I’m looking beyond my door step. I can highly recommend partnering your business with Paul for what he calls “smarter marketing results.”
Jim Loader says:
Thank you very much for your involvement as facilitator for Stott & Hoare’s recent annual Business Planning sessions. Your participation is invaluable and the benefits are already apparent prior to completion of the Plan. Your knowledge of the business planning process is extensive and your disciplined approach has ensured we have focused adequately on all the steps. You have involved all personnel that has not only enhanced the plan, it has also precipitated improvements in teamwork throughout the business. I am sure that our Business Plan will be a resounding success as a result of your awareness of business processes and effective sales and marketing programmes. Your involvement at Stott & Hoare is greatly appreciated.
Chris Johnson says:
I have completed the sales coaching course conducted by Paul Curtis and achieved measurably improved results immediately after the first session. I found Paul to be a true sales professional and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I learned not only how to improve my sales skills, but also how to grow and develop as a person. I thoroughly recommend Paul’s Sales course to any individual or Sales Manager looking to improve results and gain the edge over the competition. It is my intention to attend a refresher course in the future, because I am sure that I don’t have all the answers, but I know Paul Curtis does.
Martin Healey says:
If you have a business with potential then you owe yourself the privilege of working with Paul Curtis. Paul will bring you the opportunity of looking at your business afresh and he will work alongside you to develop effective ways to sell and market your products and services. After spending time each week with my sales team, Paul has brought about a change in attitude and a desire to be more proactive (why didn’t they ever listen to me?). This is already beginning to affect our sales results. In the area of recruitment, we have now adopted a fundamentally different approach, and Paul’s method has proven itself to be simple and very effective.
Greg Kerr says:
Paul has shown the ability to bring all members of our team into the discussions and now has everyone actively engaged in the improvement process. He has very diplomatically and professionally helped us see the weaknesses in old sales methods and to smoothly move into new and more effective ones. It should be noted that Paul took the time to understand our business and adapt his efforts to our real-life requirements, rather than just to be generically prescriptive. His ability to bring a professional outsider’s view to bear on our company’s methods without ruffling feathers or digressing into non-relevant areas has been most appreciated, and ultimately, of great value to our company.
Conrad Winter says:
I must start by saying that the most difficult challenge in any business is finding the right sales performer who will give you the required results. We have used a number of different processes to find these elusive ‘superstars’ with varying degrees of success. After asking Paul for advice, we were all very impressed with the process Paul described, and the proven results to date, but were slightly unsure of whether it would work in our case. We decided to give him a try. Paul drafted the ad, short listed the applicants, and was involved with all the initial interviews and we were pleased to see three of the four short listed candidates qualify for a second interview. As a result, we believe we have appointed the ideal candidate which we may not have found if we had used our conventional methods. Edensilk has provided us with a fantastic recruitment and selection process and service that we will certainly use again. Thanks Paul for all you input and recommendations. I have every confidence that I will be able to report back in six months and exclaim how our ‘superstar’ smashed all the sales targets.
Chris Farquhar says:
I am writing to thank you for the assistance you have given to WiredCity as it manages its Australian business growth and the business strategies behind its worldwide sales and marketing. The ‘Strategy vs Tactics’ workshop and the current work on ‘How to Hire a Sales Superstar’ have both been very worthwhile for WiredCity… WiredCity has grown from a Perth startup to have operations in Sydney and the US and sales of ‘IT Monitor’ in Australia, New Zealand, North America and Europe. Your workshops and advice have assisted WiredCity in understanding how important it is to have good tactical implementation of business strategy, manage external relationships with customers and shareholders, focus on a clear sales and marketing message and the processes required to ensure our company is client and sales focused. This has been particularly important for WiredCity and its management team to understand as we have distributed worldwide operations, US shareholders, US divisional management and are building direct sales and distribution channels for ‘IT Monitor’ worldwide. There are many challenges WiredCity faces and your workshops have and continue to assist in better equipping our company with the knowledge and skills to tackle these. Thank you for your assistance and I look forward to the good relationship continuing over the coming years in a mutually beneficial way.
Keith Wood says:
Your assistance to me has been very encouraging. The methodology that has been imparted has enabled accurate process and assessment of the very difficult area of ‘contact resulting in appointment’. We know our product is good and effective for education but if we can’t get it to them it won’t sell. The wisdom you have shown me in the brief time we have had to date has worked. Receptivity of our target clients has increased with resultant interest and I’m sure will procure sales … I have learned over the past few years that selling is not an invasion on the person you are selling to. If you have a product that they would do well to take a good look at, you need the ally of wisdom to help procure their understanding. Paul, thank you for your wisdom and insight.
Tony Addiscott says:
We are happy to relate that our experience of Paul to date has confirmed, absolutely, the wisdom of your appointment. Apart from your own obvious expertise, access to your wide range of contacts had helped us grow several of our marketing related projects and we have much great confidence in the practical verbal advice which you have given us based on your own experience than we would have if that advice had come in an appropriately edited, no doubt, “one-size fits all’ written document straight from a word processor. We have exciting plans for our immediate future, as you know, and we feel very confident that, with your help, we shall not only make them happen but also succeed beyond our original objectives and expectations.
Bob Barnett says:
I entered into discussions with Paul Curtis without a great deal of conviction, having recruited many sales people over my years in sales management, and I’ve tried quite a few recruitment systems! The system Paul has developed, while employing key principles similar to those I have used previously, is different in many ways. It is proving, challenging, and it certainly concentrates the mind of the interviewer as well as that of the interviewee. Paul’s structured selection process eliminated a raft of people that would otherwise have become part of my sales team. I have employed two people using the system, both of whom are proving to be very good choices. Their attitudes, behaviour and results to date support the wisdom of my decision to employ them. It’s my belief that Paul’s system, intertwined with component parts retained from our previous recruitment structure, delivered two great people and saved me the pain and the cost of employing the wrong ones. If you hate to waste time, money and energy employing the wrong people; have made a few blues in the past; would like some help; but still want to stay directly in touch with the process; then this is a system worth your serious consideration.
Susan Parker says:
Since taking Paul’s advice on cash collection we have set up a much more efficient system at NRG Force to make sure money comes in quickly – without needing to chase. Using Paul’s recommendations we adapted the process to fit our needs and since we set it up haven’t had to make a single call for late payment. Instead, by being more organised up front means money flows in much easier and no need to waste time with loads of follow up calls. I’d recommend Paul’s advice to anyone who needs to improve cash flow.
Rocky Amatulli says:
I write to thank you for the very comprehensive and flexible business services you have provided, and are still offering our company. Your broad range of expertise, and your holistic approach to running a business make sense, and produce effective results. From the outset, your approach of listening to our needs and allowing flexibility in the areas we want to work on at the time, make working with you both a pleasure and highly practical. Your professional business building strategies have made huge differences to the way our business operates, resulting in us establishing more unified and consistent procedures across all our processes. We also now have a very strong, unique, methodology and we have been able to develop and benefit from what NRG FORCE offers. Both myself, and my staff value your qualified and fresh ideas in strengthening our business. Thank you for your input in developing our company story and growing our business.
Geoff Harben says:
Even though we’ve suspended the Sales Coaching I’ve been receiving from you, I wanted to express my thanks for those services. Your teaching style and content are among the best I’ve received in my 25 years of experience in selling! You’ve been able to help re-establish my perspective and refresh all the relevant selling principles. Thank you for bringing your experience in teaching to bear, giving me relevant and practical assistance in the various aspects of selling. For anyone interested in gaining re-focus or wanting to refresh their selling skills, I’d recommend you without hesitation. Thanks Paul.
James Symons says:
We’ve had such a significant improvement in business efficiency and productivity that I had to write and thank you for the great ‘Time Management’ workshop you conducted with PC Locs. Training our whole team, and especially the sales staff, in this area of skill where we didn’t have expertise, has revolutionized our business communications. We appreciate your willingness to work within our time frame, at our pace, and in those areas where we wanted to focus, without bringing your own agenda. These simple and highly effective techniques have made perfect sense in our business, and produced very real results. Although it takes practice not to revert to the way we’ve previously done things, actively choosing your methods has been well worthwhile. We have already, and will continue to recommend your services.
Rod Cridge says:
We engaged Paul to be the agent of change we needed, to assist with sales training and recruitment of another sales staff member (among other things). We write to thank you for your involvement in this recruiting process as Ben is leaving after three years of great service. Having not used a third party for recruiting before, Paul took the time to outline the process of professional assessment required, and give us the confidence of using his different mode of operating. We were pleased to secure a superstar based on his recommendations, as we were not comfortable in being able to find someone good enough for our requirements. We greatly appreciated Paul’s deeper analysis of the selection criteria, and were extremely happy with the candidate chosen. Ben’s personal character reflected well the ethos of our company, and his profile closely matched the requirements of the position. Ben brought with him fast learning capabilities, and used his extensive professional skills to develop strategic partnerships for our company. Although he was new to sales initially, we are very pleased with the legacy of loyal customers he leaves behind, and more than satisfied with the income and revenue requirements he maintained for the business. We believe Hardware House has developed a strong and professional business culture as a result of working with Paul, and greatly appreciate the global perspective your methods have put in place for us. As a working director, I have highly valued the ‘helicopter view’ Paul has provided – I’m more confident now than ever, businesses need external consultants giving wise counsel.
James Symons says:
I write offering some feedback and sending my thanks regarding the sales training our team has recently been receiving. We have found it really worthwhile to participate in your workshops covering the valuable material in the ‘Sales Coaching Workbook’. As we continue to use and apply this proven material, we have experienced immediate and measurable successes. Even areas we initially didn’t think were applicable have proven to be practical and useful in terms of achieving better selling systems and skills. The sales team at PC Locs has generated real benefits by practicing and implementing your workbook knowledge, and integrating it with our own scenarios. Although we’ve had training in techniques previously, this time the application to our own style of business and learning has made all the difference. We would recommend readers not only take the time to go through your ‘Sales Coaching Workbook’ material, but to apply the knowledge specifically to their own business for real results.
Jenni Wood says:
When the Roy Weston State Support Office was introduced to the ‘Activating Sales’ system we immediately saw the potential for development within our group. Although we continue to deliver our own internal sales training programmes, the ‘Activating Sales’ system has given us an additional resource to draw from, as well as a more effective way of our teams practicing and perfecting the sales process on an ongoing basis. Thank you for your input in providing training in the use of the ‘Activating Sales’ system so we had a better understanding of the best ways to implement the tool for ourselves. Where some of our sales people struggle with the difficulty of role play in what can sometimes be described as an artificial environment, this tool has given our group the resources and ideas we need to stimulate and refresh our teams. The training sessions are now more interactive, with sales teams drawing on each other’s knowledge to improve the whole sales effort and results. Your accessibility and true belief in the system has been invaluable.
Mark Rayner says:
I’d like to thank you for your assistance in the recruitment and selection process of a new sales staff member for Rayner & Associates. We were very pleased with the candidate that your procedure turned up. Having been in business over 20 years, we had never used a method such as yours, but we have been successful in finding a sales performer to fit our dynamic team. Of course, time will show to what extent our newest employee will thrive. But to date your search process has resulted in what looks like a great match. Your interview preparation and technique were quite rigorous, and I’m satisfied with the end result. I’ve also appreciated that, quite simply, you did what you said you would do. We are happy to recommend your services.
